MOVING FORWARD
when birth doesn't go to plan

supportive, friendly and confidential short small-group sessions for
women who are struggling to come to terms with some
aspect of their child's birth

'MOVING FORWARD' WORKSHOPS -
for when (hospital or home) birth doesn't go to plan

Reading, Berkshire

Next dates:-  May and June 2011 (tbc)

9.30am - 1.45pm

Many women are deeply affected in one way or another by the birth of their child(ren), particularly when their birth doesn't go as they had hoped or expected, and especially when the experience ends in intervention or surgery. This seems to apply particularly to women who had set their heart on a normal or natural birth and it is not uncommon for these difficult feelings to remain for a long time afterwards, or to resurface when another baby is on the way.

If the memories of your birth(s) are still bothering you in some way or another (regardless of birth outcome or how long ago it was), why not along to one of these friendly and welcoming small-group sessions, based in Reading in Berkshire.

Run by an experienced antenatal teacher and birth doula, these confidential morning workshops (concluding with a shared lunch) offer an opportunity to identify and begin to address difficult issues in a safe and supportive environment.

Groups are put together according to demand and can match similar experiences if required.

Small and non-mobile babies are welcome to attend with their mums.

cost £15 per person
